DESCRIPTION:Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown for the University Hall Renovation project.This shutdown is scheduled for Saturday\, July 21st\, 2018 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.\nThis will impact normal power to Capital Hall\, Bryant-Jordan Hall\, the Bryce Main and old Superintendents building.\nNotes:\n• UA Electrical to coordinate “hot ties” with Alabama Power.  This allows for isolation of only the buildings noted above.  The Harper Center on Bryce campus will not be impacted\n• Capital Hall\no Has back-up emergency generator\no Fire alarm system is on emergency generator and will remain operational\no Fire pump is on emergency generator so the fire sprinkler system will remain operational\no UA HVAC to shutoff and restart equipment\no UA Plumbing – No items of concern noted\no UA Elevator to shutdown and secure the elevators\no Access control (card access) on west side of building will not be operational\no All computers need to be powered down prior to electrical shutdown\n• Bryant-Jordan Hall\no Fire Alarm system is on battery back-up and will remain operational\no UA HVAC to shutoff and restart equipment\no UA Plumbing – No items of concern noted\no All computers need to be powered down prior to electrical shutdown\n• UA Facilities to perform walk-thru of both buildings once power is restored
