THE UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA’S DESIGN GUIDELINES

The Design Guidelines (DG) provide general guidelines for conducting the work of architects, engineers, and any other contracted design consultant(s) or contractor(s) involved in the planning, design, and construction of any aspect of the grounds and utilities, of renovations to the existing facilities, and of new facilities on the main campus of The University of Alabama. Designers are to become familiar with and responsible for all divisions of the DG, and are to incorporate the appropriate information into their design process. These Design Guidelines have been created, reviewed, and approved by all campus partners having operational and hierarchical responsibility for these Standards, including UA Construction Administration, Campus Development, and University Facilities and Grounds.
