Electrical Shutdown – Bryant Denny Stadium , UA Electrical Maintenance

This will impact power to the entire stadium.**The Digital Media Center will be brought back online by the emergency power system throughout the duration of the shutdown.  However, the Digital Media Center may encounter a brief power outage at the start and end times of the shutdown.  If this is an issue, the Digital Media Center representative will need to contact Ricky Luker with UA Electrical at 348-3961.
** Daniel Black to verify if all broadcast equipment is on UPS.
Notes:
• This will impact all electrical and mechanical systems
• BDS is on 7 back-up emergency generators
• The Emergency Operations Center will be impacted (EOC is on the back-up emergency system)
• Fire Alarm system is on back-up emergency system
• BDS has (2) fire pumps
• Chillers for the north zone and south zone will be impacted
• West elevators will be out of operation. North, south and east elevators are on the back-up emergency system (Digital Media Center to use Northeast elevators)
• Camera systems/monitoring equipment will be ok per Michael Kelley (note from prior shutdown)
• Access control will not be operational.  Not on emergency system
• The gate control for Zoe’s on south end will be impacted (Shawn T. to raise for the weekend)
• The OIT data closet by the home team locker room is not on the emergency system. No other buildings should be impacted (note from prior shutdown)
Action Items:
• 2 fire pumps impacted – South and East Sides – East side fire pump is on back-up emergency system.  UA Plumbing to verify if the south side fire pump is on the emergency system.  If not, UA Electrical to coordinate with Security Resources about performing fire watch
• UA Plumbing shop to verify if plumbing equipment (booster pumps, sump and grinder pumps, water heaters, ect.) are on the emergency system.  If not, is generator needed? (ask Terry McMillan with UA Electrical)
• UA HVAC to shutdown all mechanical equipment and start-up once power is restored
• UA Elevator Maint. to shutoff and secure all elevators that will not remain operational.  Verify start-up once power is restored
• UA Electrical to notify Stephen Lake 30 min prior to restoring normal power in order to test transfer switch functionality for east elevators
• Shawn Templeton to coordinate with Zoe’s Kitchen
• Due to security risk, building signage will not be posted
• Ricky Luker to submit work orders to shops for building support upon request

Electrical Shutdown – Mal Moore Athletic Facility Dining Addition, UA# 085-16-953

The generator for the Mal Moore Dining Addition needs to be tested again.This is scheduled for tomorrow morning, May 25th, 2018 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Notes:
• The power to Mal Moore Athletic Facility will be off momentarily until the new generator responds with emergency power.  Once on emergency power, building systems should operate as normal
• UA Facilities to verify all equipment comes on during shutdown and afterwards once normal power is restored

Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown of the University Services Campus.• Impacted buildings include:
o All buildings north of Ruby Tyler Pkwy
o F.C. White Food Service building and Wallace Educational building which are on the south side of Ruby Tyler Pkwy
o The New Kitchen for Bryce and the Main Bryce Hospital will not be impacted
This electrical shutdown is scheduled for Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown in order to remove power to the Bicycle Shop Operation Center to allow for demolition.This shutdown is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6th, 2018 from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM, but could end sooner.
This will impact power to EHS, Student Media and the Theater and Dance buildings.
Notes:
• UA Electrical is aware and will perform the disconnection
• Student Media is on back-up emergency generator and all equipment will stay operational
• Student Media fire alarm system is on the emergency generator and will remain operational

Planning is complete for an upcoming gas outage in order to relocate an existing gas line that is in conflict the installation of a storm drain for the captioned project.This outage is scheduled for Thursday, June 14th, 2018 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This will impact gas service to Moody Music Building, Bryant Conference Center and Bryant Museum.
Notes:
• This will impact the domestic (hot) water
• This will impact building reheat for all 3 buildings. Slightly lower building temps should be expected
• UA Plumbing to shutoff/turn on gas at closest valve
• UA Plumbing and UA HVAC will restart all gas equipment once work is complete

Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown for the University Hall Renovation project.This shutdown is scheduled for Saturday, July 21st, 2018 from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
This will impact normal power to Capital Hall, Bryant-Jordan Hall, the Bryce Main and old Superintendents building.
Notes:
• UA Electrical to coordinate “hot ties” with Alabama Power.  This allows for isolation of only the buildings noted above.  The Harper Center on Bryce campus will not be impacted

Fire Sprinkler Outage Coordination – Mal Moore Athletic Facility Recruiting Room Upgrades, UA# 085-18-1485

Planning is complete for an upcoming fire sprinkler outage at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility in order to relocate existing fire sprinkler heads on the 1st floor, north end. This outage is scheduled for Friday, June 22nd, 2018 from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM.
This will not be an entire building outage.  It should only impact a portion of the building on the 1st floor, north end.
Notes:
• UA Plumbing shop will valve off the system and refill once work is complete
• Contractor to drain the system and make the tie-in
• EHS to bypass the flow switches prior to refilling the system
• Fire watch not required due to duration being less than 4 hours

Electrical Shutdown – Ridgecrest South Outside Air System Replacement , UA# 271-17-1392

Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown of Ridgecrest South in order to tie-in power to the new outside air units.This shutdown is scheduled for Wednesday, June 27th, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
This will impact all electrical and mechanical systems.
Notes:
• Building is on back-up emergency generator
• Fire alarm system will remain operational
• Fire pump is on the emergency power system and will remain operational
• Mike Largin to contact Ray Bostick and Randy Mathis to discuss details about the data equipment area.  It was mentioned in the meeting that all data equipment and A/C for this area is on the emergency power system and will remain operational
• UA HVAC to shutoff all equipment and verify startup once power is restored
• UA Plumbing to verify impact on all plumbing equipment and verify startup once power is restored
• UA Elevator to shutdown and secure all elevators
• Parking deck roll up doors will not be operational.  They will need to remain in the open position
