This will impact all electrical and mechanical systems for all three buildings. 
Notes:
Bryant Museum
• Does not have a back-up generator
• Fire alarm system is on battery back-up and will remain operational
• Does not have a fire sprinkler system
• UA HVAC to shutoff mechanical equipment and restart once power is restored
• Access Control to coordinate with UA Electrical and building rep if temp. generator is needed for security system/cameras
 
Bryant Conference Center
• Has back-up generator
• Fire alarm system is on the emergency back-up generator and will remain operational
• Does not have a fire sprinkler system
• UA HVAC to shutoff mechanical equipment and restart once power is restored
• UA Elevator to shutoff and secure the two elevators
 
Alumni Hall
• Does not have a back-up generator
• Does not have a fire alarm system
• Does not have a fire sprinkler system
• UA HVAC to shutoff mechanical equipment and restart once power is restored

Electrical Shutdown – Moody Music Building

This will impact all mechanical and electrical systems of the building. 
Notes:
• Building has a back-up emergency generator
• Fire alarm system is on the emergency generator and will remain operational
• Fire sprinkler system for the new portion is on city water pressure and will remain operational
• Fire sprinkler system in basement and 1st floor of old portion is operated by a fire pump.  This fire pump is not on the emergency generator.  Building should not be occupied during this time so a fire watch will not be required
• Sump pump in elevator pit is on the emergency power system
• UA HVAC to shutoff all mechanical equipment and restart once work is complete
• UA Elevator to shutoff and secure all elevators
• Building reps to verify if dehumidifiers for the organ in concert hall need temp. power

Road Closure – New Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority

A road closure has been planned for 8th St. on the west side of the new AOPi and KAT construction sites. 
This closure is scheduled to start on Monday, March 26th, 2018.  Tentative re-open date is set for Monday, April 23rd, 2018.
 
During this time, Reese-Phifer Hall will not be accessible from 8th St. 
 
The parking lot to the SW of Reese-Phifer Hall will only be accessible from University Blvd to the access road adjacent to the Walk of Champions.
 
The dumpsters on 8th St. behind KAT will remain accessible.

Water Outage – HR Latham Building Renovation

Planning is complete for a short, 30 minute water outage that will impact both domestic and fire water to all buildings north of Ruby Tyler Pkwy on the University Services Campus.   
This outage is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
 
UA Plumbing is aware and will perform shutoff/turn on of water and walk through of buildings to check equipment.
 
This will not impact HVAC.

Water Outage – New Alpha Omicron Pi Chapter House

Planning is complete for a short, 30 minute water outage that should only impact Reese-Phifer Hall and the annex building.  This outage is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11th, 2018 from 7:00 AM to 7:30 AM.
There is an existing water line that will need to be relocated in the future to allow for the installation of a storm structure as part of the subject project.  The purpose of this outage is to determine exactly what will be impacted when this water line will need to be relocated.
 
Notes:
• UA Plumbing is aware and will shutoff/turn on water and perform walk-thru of buildings once water is restored
• UA HVAC to verify if Reese-Phifer chiller is fed from this water line and provide support if needed.  Reese-Phifer could potentially be without A/C for the duration of the outage
• Reese-Phifer building rep is aware

Electrical Shutdown – University Services Campus

Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown of the University Services Campus.
• Impacted buildings include:
o All buildings north of Ruby Tyler Pkwy
o F.C. White Food Service building and Wallace Educational building which are on the south side of Ruby Tyler Pkwy
o The New Kitchen for Bryce and the Main Bryce Hospital will not be impacted
 
This electrical shutdown is scheduled to start on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 at 7:00 AM and will end on Sunday, April 15th, 2018 at 7:00 PM.
 
Notes for buildings currently in-use:

• Business Activities Center
o Has back-up emergency generator
o Fire alarm system on generator and battery back-up and will remain operational
o Building is sprinkled and on city water pressure
o Sewer pump for the west bathrooms is not on the emergency back-up system.  These bathrooms do not need to be used

o Fire alarm system on generator and battery back-up (Kelton K./GC to connect FA panel to temp. generator on Cottage 8 in order to keep Automotive Services in the network loop. Coordinate with EHS)

This outage is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

• Does not impact the fire water
• Does not impact water to chillers, therefore, A/C will remain operational

McCorvey Dr. Lane Closure Coordination – Lakeside Dining Hall Renovation

The southbound lane of McCorvey Dr. will be closed from Hackberry Ln. to 2nd St. for approx. 5 hours on Tuesday, April 24th, 2018 in order to setup a concrete truck for an overnight slab pour.This closure will last from 1:00 AM to 6:00 AM (4/24/18).
Please see attached map showing the portion of McCorvey to be closed.

Electrical Shutdown – Mal Moore Athletic Facility Dining Addition , UA# 085-16-953

Planning is complete for an upcoming electrical shutdown of the Mal Moore Athletic Facility in order to test the new generator installed under the dining addition project.
This shutdown is scheduled for Friday, May 11th, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Notes:
• The power to Mal Moore Athletic Facility will be off momentarily until the new generator responds with emergency power.  Once on emergency power, building systems should operate as normal
• UA Facilities to verify all equipment comes on during shutdown and afterwards once normal power is restored
• UA Elevator to test load capacity of all 3 existing elevators once the emergency power is on

Water Outage – Capstone Parking Deck

Planning is complete for an upcoming water outage in order to lower an existing 30” city main so that future storm drainage can be installed for the subject project. 
This water outage is scheduled to start on May 21st, 2018 at 7:00 AM and end on May 24th, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
 
This will only impact water to the Sewell Thomas Stadium irrigation system and the STS Utility Shed.
 
Please note: This work will take place in the intersection of Bryant Dr./2nd Ave., however, Bryant Dr. east/west bound traffic lanes will remain open through the intersection.  2nd Ave. between Bryant Dr. and University Blvd. will be closed.
 
Notes:
• City of Tuscaloosa responsible for shutting water off
• City of Tuscaloosa responsible for flushing lines prior to turning water back on
• UA Facilities to perform walk-thru of utility shed once water is restored
